Project Description

Memento Mori is a solo work performed with a Cyr wheel. The piece explores how our choices shape our lives and how we each hold the power to influence our own path.

The text of the work (below) reflects on the hamster wheel of modern life, the act of stepping away from it, and the significance of an individual’s choices in the context of the planet.

“He once suggested a though: what if we do not simply walk on the surface of the Earth, but each step we take actually moves the Earth itself? What power we would hold. Our choices affect others, our actions matter, and at any moment, we can decide to reclaim that power for ourselves.”

The performance features a Cyr wheel and an eight-meter-high sand-and-water cascade.
